Ruth Rosenhek

Ruth Rosenhek is co-director of the Rainforest Information Centre in Australia, campaigning at home and abroad on behalf of forests, water protection and global peace.

Ruth has been developing a body of work on Eco-psychology and Compassionate Action, which draws largely from Buddhism, as well as the work of deep ecologist Joanna Macy and the inspiration of Gandhi.

Her work includes presentations and workshops as well as a practice of "meditation and prayer actions" at anti-globalization and peace rallies. Last year Ruth led a five-day Fast for Forests to protest the logging of native forests in New South Wales.

Ruth facilitates eco-psychology workshops and compassionate action workshops both in Australia and abroad, with all proceeds dedicated to nature protection efforts.
