January 26, 2008 Seeds of Hope Festival, Mumbai During 2007, Navdanya started to work in the suicide belt of Vidarbha to stop farmers suicides by creating GMO free villages, reclaiming farmers seed sovereignty and supporting farmers to shift from GMO based chemical monocultures of cotton to biodiverse organic farming. The Seeds of Hope festival shares the first harvest of hope.
