The Himalayan snows and rivers are the lifeline of half of humanity. The entire Indian civilisation rests on the stability of the Himalayan ecosystem. 

Navdanya has been carriying participatory research with Himalayan communities to setup a peoples monitoring systems on climate change and its impact on local ecosystems and local communities. Navdanya is also working with leading experts on Himalayan ecosystems.

The conference on climate change in the Himalaya will present the results of the peoples' science and scientists science. It will also provide inuts on the national mission on Himalayan ecosystems which is the part of National Climate Action Plan.
