JOIN THE RESISTANCE AGAINST 200 GMO OPEN FIELD TRIALS APPROVED BY MR.MOILY

JOIN THE RESISTANCE (CLICK A SELFIE) AND SIGN THE PETITION

On the 27th of February, 2014, Mr.Moily approved 200 GMO open field trials. Mr.Moily was appointed as the environmental minister after the two earlier environmental ministers Jairam Ramesh and Jayanti Natrajan were removed for upholding biosafety laws that protect people's health and the environment.

We must collectively resist this undemocratic, unscientific and illegitimate decision approving GMO’s, taken on the eve of elections and while a Supreme Court case is being heard on the matter. GMOs do not produce more food, they only produce more toxins. Infact GMOs should be viewed as pesticide producing plants which are failing to control pests and weeds, and instead are creating superpests and superweeds. GMOs are intrinsically linked to patents. Patents create seed monopolies , trapping farmers in debt, and in extreme cases pushing them to suicide. GMOs and the chemicals like glyphosate are leading to serious health hazards. Instead of bringing us safe food, and chemical giants which are also the GMO pushers , are attempting to silence the independent scientists working in the public interest. Silencing science does not create safety, it spreads hazards and risks.

To Join the Resistance send us a selfie holding a sign saying ‘ I am a Satyagrahi (peaceful resistor) to stop GMO’s / ??? ??.??.? ?? ????? ?????????? ??? which will be put up on the Wall of Resistance.(link to upload) , sign the resistance declaration and spread the word to build a strong movement for Food Democracy and Food Freedom to ensure safe and healthy food for all.
